Coming Events
We’re looking forward to another memorable evening on Friday June 26th with London Festival Opera’s “A Night at the Opera”.
Five soloists will be performing some 20 well known arias and ensembles - experience the drama and passion of live opera in the wonderful acoustics of Northleach church.
Luci Briginshaw (Soprano) has appeared in lead roles at Glyndebourne and Loughborough and in recital at the Royal Opera House. She has made a specialty of singing “The Queen of the Night” and other Mozart roles.
Natasha Joule (Soprano) has performed extensively at Glyndebourne and in lead roles with Opera North and Welsh National Opera. At the Royal Albert Hall, she performed in the title role of Madame Butterfly to critical acclaim.
Robyn Lyn Evans (Tenor) has many opera credits in leading roles with national and touring companies including English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera and Opera North.
Cameron Rolls (Tenor) has performed extensively as a principal tenor in the UK and internationally. Most recently he has completed a tour with the Monteverdi choir, culminating in a performance from the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
Philip Blake-Jones (Baritone) has performed at Glyndebourne and with the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company. He is the Director and founder of London Festival Opera.
London Festival Opera have performed in theatres and concert halls all over the world and, most recently, at the inaugural ‘Pink Ball’ at the British Museum, the first ever opera gala at Brixton Prison and the Annual Gala Dinner at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
Friends of Northleach Church
Many of our events are organised by the Friends of Northleach Church - as part of their fundraising efforts to repair and restore one of England’s finest wool-churches, often called the cathedral of the Cotswolds.
If you’d like to become a Friend (with special privileges and Friends-only events) please complete the on line form on the Friends page - or pick up a membership leaflet in the church.
Whatever your interest, we look forward to welcoming you to some of our events this year.
