Saturday October 4th; Carmen Co’s A Pocket Opera A fun-filled evening of fantasy, comedy, drama and tremendous music arranged for guitars and flute / voice. The story of Bizet’s opera Carmen, but from her point of view. What does she think of the men in her story? Did she foresee her gruesome ending? And does she like the opera Bizet wrote about her?
Thursday October 23rd: Orchestra Pro Anima “Ode to Joy” Michael Bochmann performs a programme of Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven and more. Including a special feature performance by Cotswold Junior Voices.
Friday November 7th: Michelangelo & the Pope’s Ceiling Ross King illustrates the story of the four extraordinary years that Michelangelo spent painting the ceiling of the Sistine chapel, creating a magnificent picture of day-to-day life on the Sistine scaffolding and of the turbulent life outside, in early C16th Rome.
Friends of Northleach Church
Many of our events are organised by the Friends of Northleach Church - as part of their fundraising efforts to repair and restore one of England’s finest wool-churches, often called the cathedral of the Cotswolds.
